Taipei 101
1. How did they make the Earthquake proof building?
Taipei 101 is earthquake proof because of its architectural design. Its design is inspired
from bamboo because bamboo is a plant of strength and flexibility. Also, the presence of
mass damper also helps in making the building earthquake proof because it controls the
swinging or movement of the building everytimeam earthquake happens.

2. The part where the architect of Taipei 101 explains how unique the building itself beacause
in there, I can see how they value their culture in making modern structures and at the
same time value the safety of the people who will be in the building by planning its full
structure not just in an aesthetic way but also earthquake proof.

3. I was aghast to find out that Taiwan has the tallest building in the world because to be
honest, I don't have an idea that the title belongs to them.Because of this, it made me
think of questions like: Why cant’ Philippines build a building like Taipe 101 if there are
plenty of amazing Filipino architects that can create our own Taipe 101 and since our
country is prone to earthquakes, the government and private sectors should invest in
making earthquake proof buildings not just fir the sake of the safety of the building but for
the readiness of our country as a whole.
