Musical career

Jencarlos Canela began his musical career at age 12, in the Miami band
Boom Boom Pop. In 2002 he began recording solo songs. He performed at
the ceremonies of Miss World 2004 and Miss World 2005. In 2006 he was
chosen to star in a Ford television commercial.

In 2013 he signed an exclusive contract with Universal Music Latino, a

company with which he launched his third record production in 2014.

acting career

Canela made his acting debut as Alfredo Torres on the telenovela Pecados
ajienos de Telemundo, in which he collaborated with Dominican singer
Cristal Marie to create the theme song for the soap opera.
