GENERAL INFORMATION
• This is a mystery shop. At NO time should you reveal yourself as the mystery shopper.
• Although the client name is “Tri-State Petroleum” most of locations are branded as Marathon and BP.

CLIENT REQUIRED PURCHASE


• You MUST spend at least $0.50 on a convenience store purchase.
• You will be reimbursed up to $1.00.
• Do NOT purchase alcohol, tobacco or lottery tickets.
• You MUST get a receipt from your transaction. (Ask for it, if it is not given to you.)
• The receipt MUST be uploaded at the bottom of the report.
• The receipt MUST be uploaded as a JPEG image and NOT as a PDF file.

FILLING OUT THE REPORT


• You MUST provide a complete sentence comment for any question answered “NO” or “N/A.”
• You MUST quote the greeting, closing and suggestive sell (if offered) that the employee gave you. This pertains to
questions #12 and #14.
• For question #15, it is acceptable if the employee suggests a fund raiser as the suggestive sell.
• You MUST write sentences in the past tense.
• Follow all basic grammar rules such as putting a period at the end of each sentence.
• Make sure each comment is typed in UPPERCASE letters.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
• Your project deliverables must be submitted on or before the plan date/due date communicated at the time you
accepted this project.
• Tri-State asks that you be mindful of your surroundings while on site and focus on the task at hand, without
distraction, to ensure your safety.

The summary of key guidelines and objectives, on this form, are Tri-State’s and therefore are necessary in the successful completion of this project. Whether or not you consult this form is
at your discretion. However, as an independent contractor, you are responsible to know and evaluate this location in accordance with all the requirements set forth by Tri-State, by
whatever method or means you choose.
