Step 1 (HD or SD): Connect the xFinity box to the cable


wall outlet ​.T
​ V services:

Start with the longer coax cable by screwing in one end to the
"Cable in" or RF inport (located at the back of the set top box)
- Screw in one end of the shorter coax cable to the "To TV"
- Connect the other end to the "Cable" or "RF" in connector
on the back of your TV.port at the back of the set top box.
*Make sure that all of your connections are finger tight but
make sure that those aren't over tight.
- Screw the other end of the cable into the cable wall outlet

Step 2:
***For standard def
***For HD set up box:

Plug your HDMI cable into the back of your set top box (HDMI
out or HDMI to TV)
- Connect the other end to the back of your TV, into the
HDMI port.

Step 3 (HD or SD):


- Plug the power cable into the back of the set top box. -
- Plug the other end into the power outlet on your wall.

Step 4: Turn your TV on


*Once you have everything plugged in, use the remote
control of your TV to turn your TV on.

Step 5:
*[SD]​ If you connected using
the coax cable and the digital set top box
-Tune your TV to Channel 3. If there's no signal, try to tune it
in to Channel 4
*[HD]​ If you connected your set top box using the HDMI
cable:
- Tune your TV to the appropriate HDMI input (Ex. HDMI 1, 2,
3, 4)

Step 6: Activate your new remote (set top box remote)


so it will work with your TV.
- Place the batteries into your new remote.

included in your remote or visit us online at xfinity.com/remotes
(Follow the on screen instructions for your specific remote
control.
***Your remote is properly programmed when the ff buttons
are working: ​On/Off, Mute and Volume
