Universal  Design  for  Learning  (UDL):  The  technology  tool  that  was  chosen  is  able  to  support  all  students’  
learning.  Kahoot!  offers  many  different  aspects  that  accommodate  student  learning.  Students  can  either  
play  and  learn  by  themselves  or  in  a  group,  so  all  students  will  be  able  to  feel  confident  in  their  learning.  
Kahoot!  also  allows  the  creator  to  adjust  the  time  that  each  question  is  up  for,  so  for  students  who  need  
more  time  answering  the  question,  that  option  is  available.    
 
Describe  the  instructional  activities  that  will  occur  PRIOR  to  the  SRT  activity  and  how  you  will  introduce  
the  SRT  activity.  
 Prior  the  SRT  activity,  students  will  be  taught  and  shown  what  each  coin  is  and  how  much  the  coin  is  
worth.  Knowing  and  recognizing  money  doesn’t  involve  math,  but  adding  the  values  of  the  money  together  
is  using  math  content.  The  students  will  also  have  to  be  able  to  know  previously  how  to  add  simple  
numbers  together.

Briefly  describe  what  will  happen  DURING  the  SRT  activity:  During  the  SRT  activity,  students  will  either  
work  in  groups  or  individually  based  on  the  amount  of  technology  is  available.  Working  in  groups  will  allow

the  students  to  practice  collaboration  skills.  During  the  activity,  the  teacher  will  run  the  Kahoot!  game  from  
the  desktop  computer  while  having  it  being  projected  on  a  screen  or  interactive  whiteboard.  Once  the  
question  comes  up,  the  students  will  be  times  based  on  the  difficulty  of  the  question.

I  will  have  the  answers  show  up  after  the  question,  so  the  students  can  use  this  as  a  learning  experience  and  
so  as  a  class  we  can  see  where  we  need  to  refresh  or  discuss  further  in  the  lesson.  
Describe  what  will  happen  AFTER  the  SRT  activity?  
 I  am  planning  to  use  this  activity  as  sort  of  a  wrap  up/ticket  out  the  door  activity.  Before  the  activity  is  where  
the  students  will  be  learning  the  material,  and  the  activity  will  be  what  concludes  the  lesson  for  the  day.  
 
How  will  the  data  be  used?    There  will  be  no  formal  grade  that  will  come  from  this  activity  for  the  students.  It  
is  more  of  a  see  what  you  know  after  learning  the  lesson  in  class.  I  will  use  the  data  to  decide  what  material  
needs  to  be  discussed  again  and  what  material  we  can  move  on  from  based  on  how  the  students  answered  
on  the  questions.  
 
Describe  your  personal  learning  goal  for  this  activity.  For  this  activity,  I  want  students  to  feel  confident  in  
themselves  with  what  they  just  learned  in  the  class.  I  also  want  it  to  encourage  the  students  to  pay  attention  
in  class  because  there  can  be  an  award  for  the  student  or  teams  who  score  the  highest,  so  there  will  be  an  
incentive.  The  students  will  never  know  when  we  will  be  doing  this  kind  of  activity,  so  hopefully  it  will  
encourage  them  to  stay  engaged.  
Reflective  Practice:  After  designing  this  activity,  I  believe  that  is  can  impact  student  learning  by  encouraging  
them  to  stay  engaged  in  class  and  it  will  offer  them  a  different  way  of  me  being  able  to  asses  them  instead  of  
them  just  having  to  take  a  quiz,  which  I  think  it  important  because  not  everyone  does  well  with  written  
quizzes.  To  further  extend  the  activity,  I  could  add  to  the  Kahoot!  and  provide  more  in  depth  questions  as  
students  learn  more  about  the  lesson.
