LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

Landon Powers

Summary- Landscape Architecture is the design of outdoor

environments for the purpose of human enjoyment in natural ways.
Not Exciting Classes: Analytical Trigonometry, General
Psychology, Public Speaking
Exciting Classes: Drawing the Landscape, Landscape Field
Studies, Introductory Soil Science, Landscape Plants, Comprehensive
Landscape Design
How I found LA: I found Landscape Architecture by looking
through majors and choosing my top 3 and exploring classes in those
fields and I found Introduction to Landscape Architecture and fell in love
with the class.
Explore: You can learn more about this major by going to NESB
B101 every other Tuesday at 4:45 pm and joining the Landscape
Architecture Team and best of all you do not need to be a Landscape
Architecture major or go to room
E-102 in the Anatomy + Zoology
Building Wednesdays 10am-11am
to talk to an assistant in the major
of Landscape Architecture.

Why I am Interested: I am
interested in Landscape
Architecture because I love to be
outdoors and be creative with the
environment. I think it would be
awesome one day to design golf
courses or large-scale outdoor projects that connect people to the
environment and make them smile.
Concerns: My concerns are that this major is a very small field in the
work industry while having tons of great developers, so it is very hard to
get a job after college but while in college it is very challenging and time
consuming.
