From the City of Smiles

To be straightforward, my parents are native of Negros Occidental province.

People from Negros classified themselves as “Ilonggo” and has a very friendly sound
in way of speaking. So, I asked my mom about my positive and negative traits and
attitudes for me to find out if I can link them to my cultural background.

Here are the positive traits my mother

told me;
1. Being cheerful
2. Friendly
3. Wise
4. Careful
5. Have a strong will
On the other side, negative attitude as
follows;
1. Lazy
2. Short-tempered
3. Crammer
4. Extra-confident
5. Always expects the best

People from Negros Occidental were known for being friendly and cheerful.
If you have watched the movie ‘Everyday, I Love You’ starring Enrique Gil and
Liza Soberano, you can imagine the way people of Negros interact to visitors and
other people. Silay scooter girl manifested the character of Ilonggo. Now, you’ve
known me deeper.
