Introduction
Achievement test is a test of developed skill or knowledge. The most
common type achievement test is a standardized test developed to measure skill
and knowledge learned in a given grade level.
Achievement test scores are often used in an educational system To determine
the level of instruction for which a student is Prepared. The test marks are
constructing various types of test in various school subjects. The teachers’ job is
not only to give caution but also to measure and to evaluate the educational
outcomes of student’s behavior in course of instruction in time to time.
Achievement test and purpose of achievement test
Any test that measures the attainments measureless of an
Individual after a period of training or learning. It is an important fool in
school evolution and has great significance of the students, In the subject
area. It is directly related to the public’s growth and development in
education situation. It gives an accurate picture of student’s knowledge and
skills in the subject area on domain being to ailed. Accurate achievement
data are very important. If a planning curriculum and instruction and for
programme evaluation.
In this study the investigate for has compouned the
achievement of 7" class students as two schools in summate assessment. If
2018 accordingly the results of both the schools one analyzed statically
these two schools are
(A) BHARGABI HIGH SCHOOL
(B) GOVERNMENT GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL1.3 Need of the Study
Achievement test plays an important part evaluating student
performance in the course on, Programme. The result would of curriculum
development, the results of achievement test greatly affect curriculum.
Evaluation, students are regularly expected demonstrate their learning and
proficiency. In a mast cuses certain scores on those
achievement tests are needed in order to push a class or continual on to the
nest grade level.
Objectives of the study
To collect the achievement scores of the students of two schools in mark.
To compure the achievement of students of 7" class of two schools through.
To find out the better performance of 7" class students between two
schools.
To find out the relationship between the performance of the
students of both schools.
Delimitation of the study Due to time constrains, the selected

Method of study
2.1 Method
In the present study, the investigator used descriptive type method and
correlated the result for analysis. Hence, it is a correlational study.
2.2 Sample
The investigator applied random sampling method for the selection of
sample ic 2 schools and 30 students from each school. In the present study the
two schools from PURI, were selected an the example.
2.3 Materials
In the present study the investigator has collected achievement scores of the
students obtained in the summative achievement test-2018. So the scores sheet
of 30 students of the class-Vil in mil scored as the material.
2.4 Techniques of Analysis
After obtaining the achievement scores of the students the analysis of the
collected scores was done through the application of different statistical prouder
such as calculation of mean, range, standard deviation and correlation.CHAPTER - 3
Data collection, Analysis and Interpretation
3.1— Procedure of Data collection
The investigator, at first selected two schools from PURI area she went and
met the heads, of two schools, and made him aware about the purpose of visit.
Then she wanted to know the schedule of summative assessment 2018 of Class-
VII. Then after some days, she collected the scores obtained by the students of
class 7°” in MIL along with a sample question paper. Then of all the scores served
as the data for the present study for the analysis.
3.2 - Data Analysis
The data obtained in MIL test were analysis in terms of descriptive statistics
which included the number of participants, number of items, mean, standard
deviation, range and co-relation. All the data were also presented in a tabular
from for easy calculation.Presentation of scores obtained by the students of class 7" in MIL(odia)

It was revealed from the above calculation that school was hawing higher
Standard deviation that Standard deviation of school-B higher Standard deviation
indicates that the scores are spread out over a wide range. While lower close to
average, So investigation found the school -B having lower Standard deviation
which implied in mathematics subject, most further, the school-A was having
more Standard deviation which is indicates more students are for from the
average score.
