“Feel and Tell”

By: Czarina Nicole W. Tarlit

Stand by me even if we can’t find heaven

Hold me close in the merely big tidal waves

Be my saving grace even if it all falls down

Trust me all through out these rough times

Or in a sudden blink, show me a grin

Like a sudden thought of you and me standing in sand

Making me wonder there, can we still stand?

And hate me for what I’ve done

For what you’ve become

For what you should’ve had

Look me in the eyes, and tell me all of it

A perfect paradise that we once had

Is now incessantly tearing at the seems

Like petals in the bedsheets,

Now glass crashed down

As it explains a lot how and why your face gone blurred

How my heart beats wildly in my throat

Every time I look at you, so what now?

If you found someone new

Someone whose tears tasted like wild Friday nights

Champagnes, wedding anniversaries and amusement parks

Someone silver and blue, like the moon so bold

Don’t say one word, just go and leave
