General Guidelines for preparing Internship Reports/ Project Report

It is hereby informed to all CSE students that the general format, sequence and other details
related to prepare the various report to be submitted in the department will be as follows:
Format and sequence for project report:

1- Front Page
2- Students’ declaration
3- Certificate by the guide
4- Acknowledgement
5- Abstract
6- Table of contents
7- List of tables
8- List of figures
9- Chapters
10- Appendices
11- References
Other instructions
1- Binding- Hard bound.
2- Number of copies – Each students/group will submit 02 project report in hard bound and 1 CD.
CD should contain complete project report (in pdf format), source code, executable file and
other necessary project files. Name of the project, student name and roll no should be clearly
written on the CD.
3- Front Page – Sky Blue colour, Embedded text in Golden colour. Line Spacing throughout the
report should be 1.5pt. Front matter for the front page has already been communicated.
4- Report should have the following page margins
 Top edge : 25 to 30 mm
 Bottom edge : 25 to 30 mm
 Left side : 35 to 40 mm
 Right side : 20 to 25 mm
5- Tables and figures should conform to the margin specifications. Large size figures
should be photographically or otherwise reduced to the appropriate size before insertion.
6- The general text shall be typed in Font Style “Times New Roman” and Font Size 12.
7-Text should be properly justified.
8- Names and roll no. of all group members should be written on Front matter of the report at their
designated space.
