Inspection of new suspension monitoring: Protection against Traction Loss 8.10.2.2.3(cc)(3) A17.1-2010 Schindler 3300 Protection Against Traction Loss Potential traction loss is detected by the 3300 control. An algorithm sets the maximum time from the moment power is applied to the drive until the car passes or stops at a landing to 45 sec or less depending on the floor to floor distance. If this limit is reached before a landing is detected by the control, traction loss protection causes removal of power from the machine motor and brakes. A manual reset of the function is required by elevator personnel. The reset must be made from the inspection and test panel (LDU) with inspection operation enabled. Privileged and Confidential. When any single suspension member separates (or goes slack) a mechanical actuator will trip the switch. Once actuated the car will execute a stop at the next available landing and require a manual reset of the safety function. The car will be capable to move on inspection and access operations.
