I would like to express my strong interest in a position in Dublin City Schools as an Intervention 
Specialist. I grew up attending Dublin City Schools and feel that I'm an ideal candidate for this 
position. I have always had a strong passion for advocating for people with disabilities and 
making them feel included in the setting they are in. 

My exposure to kids with disabilities is very diverse, starting in a classroom when I was in 
elementary school and continued through the years with my classes, jobs, and friendships with 
peers that have disabilities. I have experience with taking data and using that to analyze the 
behaviors of students. I am familiar with different device programs that help communicate with 
others through a digital talker and have instructed and been trained on programs like ABA 
therapy and PEAK. Through the years of being around kids with disabilities, I have learned to be 
an abstract thinker in the ways the help others learn and to have patients to help the flow of the 
room.
