A Learning Objectives

 Association of visuals with sound of letters.


 Recognition and formation of letters using patterns.
 Enhancing their vocabulary.
 Developing reading skills.

Learning outcomes

 Students will be familiar with the alphabet, they will recite the phonic song a,b,c,d....
 Children will learn the phonic sound of letters.
 Children will become awrae of sequence of letters.
 Children will be able to tell vocabulary related to letters.
 Recognition and formation of letters using patterns
 Children will become more creative while performing activities.

B Values Inculcation

 Students will learn sequence of alphabet.


 It will also help then to understand concept of after, before and in between.
 It will enhance their observation skills.

C Pre-requisite knowledge:

Teacher would like to know the previous knowledge of students by starting a simple
conversation with question, Do you know about your letter friend? . Teacher will tell them letters
love to attend school and have fun. She will tell children to sing Phonic song to know previous
Knowledge of Students.

D Introduction of the Concept:

Now, Teacher knows the previous knowledge of students, so she will begin her class by singing
aalphabet song. Children will clap their hands and pat their laps while singing song.

Now teacher will sing alphabet song again and while singing song teacher will miss few letters and
tell students to name the letters missed by her.

E Teaching Methodology and Presentation.

 Teacher will distribute alphabet flash cards among students and ask them to form a train of
letters in correct sequence.
 Alphabet Scramble: teacher will mix flash card of all letters and ask students to place them in
correct order.
 Bingo: Teacher will make bingo cards with letters. The student to get full line or house will
win.
 Teacher will distribute letter flash card among her students. she will tell students to dress
up as any vocabulary word related to that letter. She will tell students to stand in sequence
of a-z in class.
 Hot Potato: Teacher will write letters on soft balls and ask student to catch the ball. The
student who catches the ball will say vocabulary word related to that letter.
 Basket Activity: student will be shown a letter flash card and asked to pick a picture related
to the object from basket.

G. Recaptulation:

 Alphabet rhyme
Children will sing alphabet rhyme in class
 Teacher will place a chart of missing letters a-z and ask students to paste missing letters in
correct place.
