¿Qué tan competitiva es Colombia comparada con los países de la región, de acuerdo a
los reportes o índices de las instituciones globales tales como El índice de Competitividad
del Foro Económico Mundial; el Índice de Libertad Económica del Heritage Foundation y
el Reporte “Doing Business” del Banco Mundial?.

For the activity proposed in this forum, I decided to make a comparison of global data,
between countries of Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and Ecuador, since each country is in
different Competitiveness levels as evidenced in the following table. and it's a good way to
analyze the factors that benefit and disadvantage our country at the Latin American level.

Colombia obtained a low rating in these results, obtained 49th place with 67.3 decreasing

political corruption and the large amount of taxes.While Chile has a score of 75.4
occupying the 18th position, with favorable increases in judicial effectiveness, commercial
freedom, monetary freedom and labor freedom overwhelmingly a significantly higher Latin
American score, Ecuador occupies the 170th place with a score of 46, 9 its change is
negative with a -1.6, followed by Venezuela with the position number 179 and a score of
25.9 the economic and political situation of these countries made foreign investors
withdraw from the country.

Colombia ranked 65th out of 190 countries in the world rankings, losing six places. over
the past year it was outperformed by regional peers like Mexico which ranked 54 and Chile
56, Colombia exhibited the biggest falls in the ranking in the construction áreas Permission

Colombia is in a favorable position within the region, since it has exceded traditionally
relevant countries, although there are some countries ahead, which They continue to lead
as Mexico, Uruguay and Chile. which generates interest in many foreign investors.
Colombia has evolved with The growth and development of the improvement of aspects
such as: education, health, economy, politics and has grown significantly in tourism and its
naturalness. The resources that make the country is among the best in the international
market. On the other hand. Ecuador is also declining in the global population, since its
taxes and the level of tariffs they handle is very high and makes foreign investors not enter
the country. On the other hand Venezuela in this ranking is not the best with respect to the
others Latin American countries, but it is still at a disadvantage due to the economic and
political crisis it is going through
