Equipment List

All students are required to have the following:

 Black or white 1” 3 ring binder with sheet protectors.

 Pencils, (no pens! We do not write on music with pen.)
 Bring instruments every day to class.

All students are required to have the follow materials according to their instrument.

Wood Winds
 Clarinet/Bass clarinet: traditional vadoren reeds size 2 ½ - 3 ½, cork grease, swab.
 Alto sax/ Tenor sax/Baritone sax: traditional vadoren reeds size 2 ½ - 3 ½, cork grease,
swab.
 Flute: microfiber cloth, tuning rod, cleaning cloth.
 Oboe/Bassoon: 2 medium strength reeds, cleaning swab, small container with a lid (film
can, 10ml cup)

Brass Winds
 Trumpet/Baritone/Euphonium/Tuba: Piston Valve oil (Yamaha, Jupiter, etc…), slide
grease, valve cleaning kit, polish cloth.
 Trombone: Slide cream (Yamaha, Jupiter, etc…), small 8oz spray water bottle, cleaning
cloth, polish cloth, slide cleaning kit.
 French horn: rotor oil (Yamaha, Jupiter, etc…), slide grease, polish cloth, cleaning kit.

Percussion/Drums

 Drumsticks 5a, non-acrylic tips.

 One pair of yarn mallets by Vic Firth, or Innovative Percussion (white, yellow, or red)
 One pair of Timpani Mallets (see director)
 Personal stick bag
Strings

 Violin/Viola/: rosin, cotton cleaning cloth, shoulder rest.

 Cello/Bass: rosin, cotton cleaning cloth, peg stopper (any type is ok)
