RECOMMENDATIONS

The development does not generate significant additional traffic to

existing traffic conditions estimated up until year 2040. The traffic problem is

identified using LOS Analysis of road segments. It is predicted that in the year

2040 onwards, segments G–1 (AM and PM) E–7 (AM), and B–3 (PM) will

have a VCR range of 0.86 to greater than one which means that the flow of

traffic will be forced flow, stop and go. To address these problems, the

researchers recommend construction of additional lane per direction at Davao

– Cotabato Road to make it 6-lane highway (3 lanes per direction) to increase

the volume capacity of the road. This is for the effective operation of roadway

segments and intersections for the development and study area. Below is the

adjusted LOS Table with respect to road widening as recommended.
