The video begins by refreshing the memory of what biodiversity is so by definition by
diversity is richness of species in an area plus non living component of that landscape
mainly are biotic factors. Basically species richness is simply defined as the number of
different species represented in ecological community landscape or regions.
A more important feature is the even greater proportion of species of functional groups
present first at the site that would be a definition of disease the more equal the species
are in proportion to each other the greater the uniformity on the side is a site below the
equality indicates that there are few species dominated the site
Mister whitaker was the one who in the 70s defined basic three terms to measure
diversity respect to its reaches o species of course and he named them alpha, beta and
gamma.
So total species diversity in a landscape is defined by two different things the mean
species diversity insight or habitat at a more local scale and the difference is among
those hábitat.
Diversity Alpha.
We can define as alpha diversity the variety of organs that occur in a certain place or a
habitat or simply the number of different species in a small local área.
A city would be a type of representation with which alpha diversity is in a city and the
most accurate expression is linked to the most accurate expression is related to the
number of species and their proportion in which each species is represented in the
community.
Divesity Beta.
It measures the rotation of species between two sites, it generally describes differences
in the species richness of those two sites, like the smaller ones within some larger ones,

would be more diverse.

It actually means that it represents the species richness of the whole general area as I
mentioned, but with so many areas of alpha diversity, so in general they represent the
total diversity of species in a landscape or as a group of species
