Abstract

Purpose: The Purpose of this study is to examine if there’s any relationship or any impact of HR
practices on employee commitment in a manufacturing Industry.

Methodology: Within this study on a Manufacturing sector in Pakistan, Questionnaire tool was
used to collect the descriptive research data and also Statistical Data, Face to Face interviews were
taken fron Manufacturing Professionals of different companies.

Findings: Findings were exactly as expected because in the context of I have found that HR
practices like recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits,
performance and transfers do have an impact on employee commitment because it is the key factor
in an organization that employee wants.

Research Limitations: The population chosen for this study were only related to Manufacturing
industry. We have visited so many companies in Pakistan and lahore and employees filled out the
questionnaires but we received less number of questionnaires comparatively due to heavy work
load. The investigation to complete this research paper was being limited to some variables only
due to very time constraint environment.

Practical Implications: This study is conducted to examine the HR processes and its impact on
overall Organizational employee’s Commitment amongst the Manufacturing sector in Pakistan
and also tries to find out if any relation or impact is available amongst different variables related
to Manufacturing sector.

Social Implications: The study is very beneficial for those organizations who are operating in
manufacturing sectors in Pakistan on higher positions, they would better know how to retain
employees commitment in an organization and in this way they can better get work from
employees.

Originality/ Value: The new aspect of this study would be that individual would get to know that
HR practices do have impact on Organization Commitment of manufacturing sector but yet there
is the posibility that other factors may aslo help us getting the godd results in employee
commitment.
