Industry analysis:

After some research on the existing market of wine and wine industry, our team came up
with a basic idea on various aspects of the industry. The various aspects such as: Manpower,
raw material, equipments and machineries, methods of production and management
system were studied.

Manpower: For our industry we have decided to categorize our manpower into direct and
indirect type. Local youths nearby factory unit will be keeping in priority for production
house workers. Trainings will be given to production house workers at initial stage to equip
then with necessary skills required for production. Our industry will include 12 production
workers and 2 plant helpers. Educated local people will be emphasized for the lower level
management whereas the higher level management will include experienced professionals
and shareholders. Excluding 7 shareholders our indirect manpower will consist of 4
management personnel, 1 driver, 2 delivery helpers and 2 highly skill lab technicians.

Machines: The selection of the equipments and machines used in an industry depends upon
desired volume of production process followed. Equipments used in our industry are also
selected considering the desired volume of production (i.e. 150000 lrt.) and the production
process. The major equipments in our factory will include a fruit crusher, fermentation
tanks, water treatments plant, filling machines, Crocker. The other auxiliary equipments
such as pumps, piping will be installed as per requirement of plant.

Materials: Raw materials for the production of all types of wine are almost same except the
fruit used. Generally fruits with higher sugar contained are preferred for wine making
purpose. Due to the availability of pear in local market and its high sugar contained, our
industry will produce wine using pear. Other raw materials used for wine making in our
industry are Acid blend (50% Critric acid, 25% Malic acid, 25% Tartaric acid), Yeast nutrient,
Pectic enzyme, Dry sugar, Water, Campden tablets. Similarly glass bottles, corks and stickers
are used for packaging.

Management: The Company was founded by the fresh graduates of industrial engineering
from Thapathali Campus. Higher level management team includes 7 company owners
ourselves and an experienced Managing Director (MD), whereas lower level management
team includes 1 production manager, 1 marketing manager, 1 finance manager.
