How to use more than one percussion- or mallet- instrument in one staff (Finale):

1) Load the „percussion Xsample“-bank or the „mallets Xsample“-bank

2) Create a new text expression in Finale

3) Type in the instrument name you want. Click on playback (Wiedergabe)

4) Choose „patch“ (Klang). Write the right patchnumber for your instrument (here „gran cassa (1)“
(see program-change-map in the Xsample documentation) in the patchnumber-field.

5) Do these steps (2-4) for all percussion- or mallet- instruments you want to use in the staff. Every
time you use these expressions the right sound will be heard.
Make sure that your staff do not use any percussion map or transposition!
Note: Since Finale 2007 has no mallets instruments in the HP-section, you must name the staff
invisible with „timpani (Pauken)“ to work correctly.
