The bar chart shows how many research students studying in different science group at a UK University

in 2009.

The chart shows how many men and women studying in each science related groups. In science related
subjects like Physics, Astronomy and Geology the men students have overtaken the women students. In
chart, most of the students studying Physics are men. The same is also applies for other two science
releated subjects, in Astronomy and Geology men students are more than the female students.

However, in medical related subject’s male and female students are nearly equal. In Biology and
medicine subjects the female students are fewer than the male students. But Female students are
overtaken the male students in veterinary medicine.

This bar chart concludes that in UK University the science related subjects are dominated by men but in
medicine subjects the female students are nearly same to the male students. This shows that female is
interest in medicine related subjects rather than science related subjects.
