Improving English as a foreign language writing in elementary schools using
mobile devices in familiar situational contexts

Hwang (2013) about improve english as a foreign language writing in
elementary schools using mobile devices in familiar situational context. This research focus on the relation between Situated English Learning Writing System and the learner perception of intention to use. Besides, whether the intention to use has a relationship with the real usage and wniting performance is also considered. According to the real usage of Situated English Learning Writing System, the relation between learning achievement and total number of writing total number of sentences, the amount of uselessness comment, the amount of encouragement comment, the amount of usefulness comment and the amount of using scaffolding for writing task are considered. The effect of four dimensions: 1) Reasoning, 2) Communication, 3) Organization and, 4) Convention on learning achievement. The conclusion this part, 1) The learning achievement of experiment group is better than control group. Using the system In learning activities can effectively help the learning achievement on Reasoning, Communication and Organization, 2) The predictability of activity playfulness effect on intention to use. Most students thought that the designed activities were playful and they were interested in situated learning, 3) Communication could anticipate writing outcomes, the students think that it is helpful for communication to use more adjectives, conjunctions and sentences, 4) The scaffolding of the proposed system satisfied the requirement of some students such as memorizing vocabularies in familiar contexts.
