College Search Project

Reflection Letter
To whom it may concern,
Over the past week we have been doing research on two colleges that we think we could see
yourself at in the future. When I did my research for a college, I wanted to look at a realistic school
for me. Penn State University is a school I always saw myself from when I was a little kid. West
Chester University is also a local school and would be considered a safety school for me. In my
future school I wanted a place that had football, or basketball teams to support, close to home, and
a school that fits my major of study. I felt like these two schools had a little bit of everything I
wanted. Moving forward I will talk with Mr.Saladino and use him more often and also get onto the
campus and tour the schools I’m interested in. Both Penn State and West Chester are two schools
that have a lot of majors and do have the major I am looking for. I want to study exercise science
and hopefully become a PA. Both of these schools are in state so I would be able to afford them. I
am hoping to get both financial aid and academic scholarship money. I also have to take into
consideration of having to go to school for more years because of my major, so it would cost me a
lot more than expected. As much money as possible from financial aid and academic scholarship
money would be the most beneficial. Penn State is a little bit of a reach but I do feel confident as I
am involved a lot and have a good GPA. Penn state is a very popular school so the competition is
there to get into the school. West Chester however is a safety school. This is a school that many
kids from Garnet Valley go to. I participate in a lot of things here at Garnet Valley and fit all of the
requirements for what the school has to offer. From now until I can apply I need to get my SAT
score up! Currently I stand at a 1050 and need to get it higher than a 1200. I also need to research
the school more in depth and get onto campus to make sure I really love it there. I always had the
dream of going to a school like Penn State. I know myself and the overall culture and atmosphere
that school has to offer is best for me. I really hope in a little over a year I am finding out great
news of where I will be going to college.

Thank you,
Kendall DiCamillo
