video summary of the play “Death of a
Salesman” by Arthur Miller.

I will play the video twice, the first time that I
will play it, just completely watch it and in the
second time, you need to take down notes
because after watching the video, you will
arrange the events of the play “Death of a
Salesman’’ by Arthur Miller based on the
video that you’ve watched. You will arrange
the events through a Caterpillar diagram. This
is an example of a Caterpillar diagram; this is
what

Willy’s life. The first event is, please read

The reason why Willy is prone to accidents is
that he is daydreaming and hallucinating while
driving. Seeing that
her husband can’t do the job anymore, Linda,
suggested to Willy if he could ask his boss,
Howard Wagner for a local job in New York.
Since Willy sees himself as a valuable
salesman he thinks that getting that job is a
sure thing so he will ask his boss the next day.
The same night also when Biff and Happy
decided to visit their mother. Biff just arrived
from his job as a farmhand in the West and

Linda admits to her sons that she and Willy
are suffering from financial, worse Willy
attempts to commit suicide several times. She
blames Biff the cause of Willy’s unhappiness.
Why do you think Linda blames Biff as the
reason of Willy’s loneliness?

Yes, exactly. Before the arguments arise
among his family members, Happy told to
everyone that Biff has plan to get a loan from
his former boss, Bill Oliver so that he can start
a business. When Willy heard it, he is very
overjoyed and that makes everyone go back to
sleep expecting that their dreams will be

us Filipinos is that we tend to sacrifice
everything for the sake of our loved ones

will pull us down.
