Camp at ..................

On Monday, November 25th 2019, SMA N 3 Pekanbaru held one of the 2013 compulsory
curriculum activities, namely camp blocks. This activity was held in Lembah ..................,
West Sumatra. Most of the 10th grade students joined this activity. That morning, we were
told to come before 6:30 a.m. because we were going to hold a teacher’s day ceremony first.
After carrying out the ceremonial activities, all students were directed to their respective
buses which had previously been notified. We all got on the bus and were given ID cards. At
9:00 a.m. after everyone had gathered, we began to leave. On the bus, we met with friends
from other classes. That made us know each other better. Our travel time to get
to .................. was approximately 6 hours. Many things we can see during the trip.
We arrived at .................. around 4:00 p.m. Upon arrival, we had to walk about 10
minutes to get to the campsite. At the campsite, tents were installed. We also look for our
tent, and after that we clean and tidy up the items that will be included in our tent. After
everything is finished, we eat first. We were told by the coach that the next activity was the
opening ceremony. We also get ready and change clothes to scout clothes.
After finishing the opening ceremony, we were given time to take a shower, pray and tidy
up the tents. Not felt, the day was already starting night. We also have dinner first before
doing further activities. After eating, we were gathered in the field to be given insight into
scouting. After the activity, we were given time to prepare for sleep.
The coach told us that at 10:00 p.m. there were no more students outside the tent.
Students must sleep so that the next day they can do their activities well. However, my
group and I did not go to sleep immediately. We talked and joked first. Even then, we
couldn't sleep. We also ate snacks that we brought, until when the coach reprimanded us
from outside the tent, we immediately saved all the food and actually sleep.
In the morning, we woke up early in the morning to queue up to go to the bathroom.
After getting their turn, most of us who are Muslim perform the morning prayer first. After
that, we returned to our respective tents to prepare breakfast. Some of us cook for breakfast
and some of the others tidy up the tent. At 7:00 a.m. we do gymnastics first. With fresh
air .................. makes us passion for gymnastics. After gymnastics, we returned to our
respective tents for breakfast.
At 8:00 a.m. we were gathered and told to prepare ourselves for preparations for hiking.
Hiking is the most awaited activity in this campsite. Most students are very happy and can't
wait to do it. However, there were some students who were sick and made them unable to
participate in the activity. Personally, hiking is very exciting and I really enjoy it. We really are
required to work together as a team. One thing that makes us unable to forget hiking is
when told to crawl in the water with the team.
At 1:00 p.m. the hiking activity was finished. We cleaned up, prayed and ate. This activity
is very draining. We had a short time to rest until 2:00 p.m. we were collected again and
were told that we would conduct outbound activities. Although we feel tired, but we are not
defeated. We are still trying to win competitions to add value to our group. And this activity
ended at 4:00 p.m.
After the outbound activity ended, we were allowed to play in the waterfall. It was indeed
a happy time. Everyone gathered to play water together. At that time it was really fun. Until
5:30 p.m. we were required to immediately get ready for sunset prayers and in the evening
we would hold art performances, camp fires and closing ceremonies for camp blocks for the
2019 school year, 2013 curriculum.
After finishing the evening prayers, we ate and got ready for the art performance. Even at
this art performance event, we saw that a lot of our friends did indeed excel in the arts.
Some are singing, dancing and others. We felt quite entertained by this activity. After that it
continued with a campfire event and continued with the closing ceremony which was
fostered directly by the headmaster of SMA 3 Pekanbaru. And when all activities had ended,
we returned to our tents. Because tonight is our last night at the campsite, we also plan to
enjoy it before slept
At that time who knows what time, there are some friends from other tents who came
and slept in our tent. We are very happy and spend more time on stories and jokes than to
sleep. We really felt very happy at that time. Many funny things that we tell and make our
tents noisy filled with our laughter. That's when our tent was reprimanded again for being
noisy and thought to be disturbing the surrounding tent. Shortly after, because we felt tired
we fell asleep.
The next morning, as usual we were waiting in line to go to the bathroom. After prayer
and breakfast, we pack and inspect the items we brought because that morning we will
return to Pekanbaru. That morning it rained very hard, it made us rain and it started slower.
The cold air grew cold again and made us feel sleepy and spent all the way sleeping. On the
way home, not much happened because many of us were spending time sleeping because
they felt tired. We arrived in Pekanbaru at around 4:30 p.m. This activity will be an
impressive one.
