Waiting for Santa Claus

Santa Claus and his reindeer, Rudolf are coming soon. They are going to bring to the
good children everything that they want in order to have a merry Christmas. We decorate the
fir trees with nicely coloured globes, tinsel, candles and special candies. We make muffins and
cakes and prepare rice and mince rolled in sour cabbage to eat on Christmas Day.
We learn Christmas carols to sing around the Christmas tree when Santa comes. On
Christmas we give and receive presents and we always think of helping the disabled and the
poor with all that we can.
I am happy Santa is coming with nice gifts for my family and me. I always send Santa
Claus a long letter before Christmas to let him know that I am a good girl. I obey and respect
my parents and my grandparents, I get good grades at school and I perform a lot of extra school
activities, like singing, dancing and swimming.
Now I am just waiting, because this year I have already written to Santa. I would like
to receive a new laptop as I need it badly to get information for my homework and listen to
music. I would also be happy to get new boots and clothing. I told him about the blue dress I
saw in a shop window at the Mall in Bucharest. I hope he will listen to my wishes ans bring
me all these. I have also asked him for presents for my mummy, daddy and grandma.
This weekend we are going to the market to pick up a big fir tree and to buy Christmas
decorations. This time I want only red, green and golden globes and tinsel for my Christmas
tree.
My canto teacher has taught me a new Christmas Carol to sing for Santa. I have also
read Charles Dickens ’Christmas Tale’ and I’ve learned how to respect Christmas and our
traditions, how to celebrate this important holly day of the year and to help the poor and the
disabled by offering presents like cloyhing or toys.
I am looking forward to Christmas.
