Dear Ms. Maria Vint:
I would be pleased to answer your questions about “Shitty First Drafts” by Anne Lamott
from Bird. How to write the good article.

1. My writing process can be divided into three phases: the preparation phase, the
drafting phase, and the revision phase. First, in the preparation phase, I will be
brainstorming about the question. Then the make an idea map, that can help me
record and organize my thoughts. Also, writing the outline for content and views
of the article. Secondly, start to write the essay. Last, let other people read your
essay help you correct the grammatical words or give their opinions; modification
the essay and rewrite.

2. I think the revision is a must, no one is perfect at the beginning. When I was
typing this letter, I am actively revise. Deleting words when I read that sentence
that feels smooth and changes words when there is better world can explain this
situation. I think this article is very helpful to me. I very much like the way she
says the first draft is the child’s draft, this mean there still have a lot of thing need
to improve.

3. I will be very thankful for those constructive feedback. Because they tell me the
where is my weakness in writing, and that constructive can makes my essay
become better and better. Also helpful in my future.

A good essay is through many time revisions. Therefor, the first drafts are bad don’t
worry, just learn for others feedback then rewrite that, you will become succeed.
