SAMR - California Missions

S- Substitution

Students will use google to look for information about their specific mission. Instead of

going off textbooks, they will have the internet as a source to find images, details, and the

historical background of their assigned mission.

A- Augmentation

Students will create a mission using cardboard, they will glue together the overall

structure of the building using this material. However, instead of drawing, painting, or coloring

the cardboard they will find images of the missions, or specific details of the missions and glue it

onto the cardboard structure.

M- Modification

Students will create a video about the cardboard mission they created. They will display

it at different angles and explain where the mission is at, what it looks like, and why they added

specific building/details in their project.

R- Redefinition
Students will use powtoon to create a slideshow that they will present. It will include an

image of the model they built compared to an actual image of the building. They will have

separate slides that will describe the details that make the mission unique such as physical

characteristics, important facts, and historical background.
