The belt conveyor transporting bagasse-ashes at PG

Gempolkrep is used to conveying bagasse-ashes from the
boiler station to the bagasse warehouse. The belt conveyor
simplifies and shortens work duration. However, PG
Gempolkrep is an old sugar factory, the equipment is also
aged and it makes the performance decreases. This book is
about redesigning the belt and roller idler that purpoused to
get the required motor power and calculations on the chain
and sprocket.
This redesigning is started with study of literature and
field observation at PG Gempolkrep Mojokerto. After that, we
get the data from observation and redesigning. Then we do the
calculation and get the conclusion.
The result is the belt conveyor requires 7.36 kW or 9.86
hp motor power. From the result, belt conveyor allowed to use
electric motor with the power 10 hp. The belt length is 49,57 m
and the chain numbered 100, the chain has a speed of 0.490
m/s with a length of 2131.98 mm is needed to make the belt
conveyor move.
