SILVER​”

Most of us are well acquainted with the common saying “silence

is gold, speech is silver”.
Silence helps us to conserve our energy and cloaks the
ignorance of man .Unnecessary speech will waste our energy
and expose our faults and weaknesses .A well known example is
of KALIDAS who was presented before the princess vidyotma
and who took him to be a very wise and leaned man. The reason
being he never uttered a word before her.The spell broke the
moment kalidas spoke with his mouth and came out with certain
words promising his worthlessness.
Thus silence gives us an air of dignity and gravity in society. A
person who speak unnecessary is taken to be a chatterbox and
gets no respect. So it is better to be silent rather than spend once
energy in futile speech. If one is able to control once tongue and
use it at the right time, one can control the word .So it has been
rightly said” Even a fish can keep away from trouble if it keeps
its mouth shut”.
