HINCOL ROADBOND QUICK ROADBOND Quick is a ready-to-use cold mix that hardens in the presence of water to quickly attain the performance of a hot mix. Durability of pothole repair depends on the care taken during preparation phase. PACKING ROADBOND Quick is packed in 25 Kg Pails APPLICATION PROCEDURE Step 1: Preparing the Pothole Preparing the pothole is a crucial point. ‘Sweep to remove stagnant water and unrelated items (fines, gravel etc.) Step 2: Filling the Pothole: Fill ROADBOND Quick in the pothole, by spreading with a trowel in a single layer if the depth is 40 mm. if pothole is deeper, apply in successive lifts of 40 - 50 mm thickness. Step 3: Wetting the Mix: Water the surface of the mix moderately and evenly. Amount of water needed for setting ROADBOND Quick is about 2% of the weight of the asphalt mix. Flow of water in the interstices of the mix, initiates ie HINDUSTAN COLAS the cohesion by increasing reaction. Too much water delays the setting of the mix, and significantly reduces its mechanical performance. Step 4: Compacting the Mix: Small Potholes can be manually compacted by Tamping. For larger areas compaction with a vibrating plate is ideal Compaction by Mechanical Roller cylinder, by making several passes will enhance life of repair Step 5: Open to Traffic: After Proper Compaction the treated pothole area can be opened to traffic.
