Question 1: How would you analyze Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s enormous success in the
political arena of Sub-continent? Justify your answer with five relevant points.
Answer:
Sir Syed Ahmed khan was the Muslim philosopher of nineteenth century British India. There are
following steps of Sir Syed Ahmed khan’s enormous success in the political arena of
subcontinent.
1. Sir Syed Ahmed khan eradicated misunderstandings b/w Muslims and the British infused
due to the past particular incident.
2. Awakening among the Muslims about the political ups and downs and co-existence on
the presence of other nation in India was another contribution of Sir Syed.
3. He motivated the Muslims to absorb the modern education of the best because this was
the very motive of the western expansion in the world.
4. He visualized the bright future of the Muslims if they engaged themselves in the western
learning.
5. Sir Syed won the British Confidence and cordial relationship by saving their lives during
the war of independence.
Question 2: How did the Simon Commission divide the All India Muslim League in two
wings in 1927?
Answer:
The British Government sent a commission to seek the opinion of Indians on the future shapes of
the constitutional arrangement it arrived in India in 1927 and it published the report in 1930 most
political parties boycotted it. It presented the report containing several constitutional proposals.
1. Federal government with strong center.
2. Abolition to diarchy system in provinces.
3. More powers to provincial government.
4. Governor not to interfere in day to day affairs.
5. Constitutional changes in NWFP.
