Senior Manager, Accenture (3/07 to Present)


• Successfully delivered a 12M project and enabled client to continue support of their legacy
system into the future. Client had a 30 year old core ERP system written in mainframe Assembler
with support staff retiring within 2 years. Prepared project estimates and proposal, participated in
the sales cycle and led delivery of Proof of Concept to convert mainframe Assembler programs to
COBOL leading to 15 month implementation phase. Built a project team of over 20 developers
with expert mainframe Assembler COBOL and CICS skills and supporting staff.

Government ERP:
Travel to client sites across the southeast to implement and troubleshoot ERP systems, implement data
conversions from mainframe to Oracle 9i, and develop custom reports in Business Objects/Crystal
Reports.
Technical Environment: Java, Oracle, SQL Server 2000, OLEDB, Business Objects/Crystal Reports.

AIG Outsourcing:
Pre-sales support including proposal preparation and presentation for Microsoft.Net solutions and
Sharepoint technologies. Prototyped beta release of BizTalk for proposal to medical software systems
firm (HIPAA). Implemented Sharepoint for document collaboration for outsourcing team. Management
of Outsourcing team and client relationship, support of UPS system for AIG, coordination with customer
offsite personnel in India, completion of program fixes, extraction of source code for MicroFocus
Revolve repository. Support and enhancement of VB Problem Reporting System.

4x4x4 Projects:
Project manager for a critical update to 5 million line COBOL/CICS/DB2/IMS insurance policy
processing system. In the first phase managed analysis activities with CGI’s reengineering facility in
Canada. In the second phase, estimated, bid, prepared project plan, organized, and leads the activities of
the development team and maintained ongoing contact with the customer project director including
meeting client CMM documentation requirements.

AIG Outsourcing:
Creation of new COBOL CICS program for capturing coverage option data for rating of new commercial
property options including DB2 support. Creation of SQL stored procedures, Access reports, COBOL
extract program and JCL for display of insurance policy form legacy data on the mainframe. Change
existing COBOL CICS programs.

Web Services:
Design and implementation of auto insurance data rating system in Microsoft VB .Net, creation of XML
string to call legacy C++ rating tool as a Web Service. Redesigned Visual Studio ASP based system to
VB .Net including parsing of XML strings with Document Object Model.

Georgia Farm Bureau:


As a Developer and Mentor for APPGEN, a web based personal lines auto insurance quote system,
designed and developed VB components to interface with legacy rating system, created ASP pages and
designed the interface to ISO automobile data to provide symbol lookup. Host Integration Server was
used to interface with mainframe. Mentored and trained customer personnel in all aspects of the project.

Property One Enhancement:


As Project Manager for an enhancement to Fortune 50 insurance company’s policy processing system,
planned, organized, and lead the activities of the conversion team and maintained ongoing contact with
the customer project director.

AIG Outsourcing:
As a senior consultant in the outsourcing group, led projects, participated in fact finding for sales support,
led Y2K audit, made program changes and supported internal Microsoft Access problem reporting system
in VB.

Y2K Remediation:
As Technical Project Leader for Y2K modifications of legacy insurance policy processing system for
Fortune 50 client, prepared project plan, assisted in pricing, contract specifications, interviewing and
recruiting of staff. Worked with customer data center personnel to set up mainframe environment,
maintained project plan and work assignments for technical staff, and assisted technical staff with
programming questions.

AIG Outsourcing:
As a senior consultant in the outsourcing group, developed problem reporting and workflow system in
Microsoft Access, traveled to potential customer sites to gather requirements and analyze existing
systems for outsourcing bids, conducted on-site classroom training and program maintenance for multiple
customers, installed insurance policy printing PC interface for insurance agencies and modeled new
client/server transaction processing system for insurance policies. Performed on-site consulting at various
client sites utilizing COBOL, MVS and DB/2 technologies. Responsible for hands on development of
Mainframe systems focused on full life cycle development, enhancements and system architecture.
