The purpose of this paper is not to analyze Chinese Medicine in great detail, but rather to discuss
the unification of Chinese medicine & modern science by presenting a basic understanding of the
commonalities of each field. Through doing so, it is our hope to humanize an ancient system
of health for the practical application of modern technology.

 INTRODUCTION
For as long as history has written humankind into her books, our species has had a special affinity with
precious stones and crystals. Some of the earliest evidence dates back to the Upper Paleolithic Period
(about 40,000 years ago). Even though it is difficult to determine exactly how these materials were
viewed or interpreted by the earliest human bearers, the significant amount of archaeological findings
showing they were collected and crafted into a variety of embellished amulets and talismans from all
over the globe, is evidence of their value to cultures of humankind throughout history.

The Ancient Greeks valued crystals highly and attributed a number of properties to them.
In fact, the etymology of many of the names we use for crystals today are of Greek origin. The word
‘crystal’ itself comes from the Greek word for ice, as it was believed that clear quartz was water
that had frozen in an eternally solid state.

Crystals have not only been valued for their pure beauty for thousands of years, but have also been
used as tools for healing and well-being throughout almost all cultures. The earliest historical reference
for the use of crystals for health were from the Ancient Egyptians and Sumerians. The Ancient Egyptians
primarily used crystals and gemstones for protection and healing, such as Topaz and Peridot for
night terrors and warding off bad spirits.

HOW CAN CRYSTALS
AFFECT BIOLOGY?
Cellular behavior and change within an organism occurs through interaction
with the environment (i.e. environmental signals and perception), which
changes the shape of the proteins within a cell. For example, when a
neurotransmitter attaches to a neuromuscular junction of a muscle, causing a
rise in the concentration of calcium ions, this triggers the protein bundles of
myosin and actin to bind to each other, releasing the energy-rich chemical
adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This release in energy pulls the actin filaments
alongside the myosin filaments - this is what we call a muscle contraction. The
process can easily be triggered by a multitude of relatively simple external
environmental signals, like catching a ball in midair or the involuntary
contraction of the abdominals while sneezing.

Another less observable example is the photosynthesis of vitamin D in the body

by exposure to the electromagnetic radiation of the sun, specifically UVB rays. So,
photons carry energy and that energy can affect biology. Why is this relevant to
crystals? Aside from the physical properties of crystals (elasticity, thermal
expansion, piezoelectricity), they can also emit dynamic energy, like photons.
Whether you believe photons are particles or waves (or both) they are energy,
and energy is simply information that can be utilized by biological systems in an
unimaginable number of ways.

There are, of course, many different types of crystals and gemstones. For
the rest of this discussion, we will focus on quartz. So, what is it and why is it
so significant?

QUARTZ & THE
ARK CRYSTAL
®
Quartz is a mineral composed of silicon and oxygen atoms in
a structure of silicon–oxygen tetrahedra, with each oxygen
being shared between two tetrahedra, giving an overall
chemical formula of SiO2.

This tetrahedra structure of quartz is what gives the ARK

crystals their unique property and ideal characteristic
to couple with the vacuum-fluctuations of spacetime.
Additionally, the pure, lab-grown quartz of the ARK crystal is
precisely cut to a tetrahedron, creating a perfectly fractalized
framework of resonating tetrahedral octaves all the way to
the Planck scale.

Following the unified physics principles of inventor and

physicist Nassim Haramein, the precise dimensional ratio was
designed to allow the tetrahedral ARK crystals to form optimal
harmonic resonances with vacuum-coupling acoustic
and electromagnetic frequencies. These structural and
dimensional characteristics, together with the transference
of quantum-energy from the Harmonic Flux Resonator
(HFR), enable the ARK crystals to profoundly link with the
nonlocal entanglement network and energetic dynamics of
the quantum vacuum.

AN INTRODUCTION
TO TRADITIONAL
CHINESE MEDICINE
( TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the oldest known medical science that
is continually used and being developed today, with the earliest theoretical
beginnings dating as far back as 5,000 years ago. Its increasingly potent
success rate has become more widely established in western culture since
the beginning of the 20th century. TCM was originally born through the
fascination of ancient emperors and nobles to live forever, gain more wisdom
and virility, etc. All of which had the ultimate focus of optimizing health and
life itself. This is the essence of TCM and the central difference from
conventional medicine - where TCM focuses on optimizing health and the
whole (holistic), conventional medicine has a focus on the pathology of the
body, disease and symptoms.

*It is important to note; however, this is merely a simplistic observation of the

two healthcares, not an attempt to diminish the value or importance of the
role conventional medicine plays in society.

CHINESE MEDICINE ( TCM )
As this ancient medical science developed from the observation of
treatment results and experiments, the Chinese began to observe
and realize that the human body is a microcosm of the universe
(macrocosm) - all nature that appears ‘outside’ of us can also be
observed within us. They started uncovering a fundamental truth
that the body is not isolated or separate from nature and the
natural laws of the universe, but is part of and deeply connected
to it. In other words, they realized there is no such thing as an
isolated system; and therefore, everything is intimately connected.
This is the reason for much of the terminology in TCM diagnoses
being associated with seasonal and weather-like conditions, such
as cold, heat, dampness, dryness, etc. This ancient and
philosophic, yet clearly advanced viewpoint of wholeness of an
entire universal system, provides Chinese medicine with its
compass for health and healing. Practices like Qigong and
meridian-focused therapy can be used to assist in maintaining
wholeness and balance.
The timeless concept, “as above, so below,” can be considered
scientifically supported within the framework of Nassim Haramein’s
Unified Field Theory. The Resonance Science research team’s
peer-reviewed publications present that the information of the
entire universe exists within each and every proton; and the
entanglement of all protons are connected through the vacuum. It
is this unified spacememory network that informs and connects all
things to produce coherence, order and systems intelligence.
During the Sui and Tang Dynasties (581 - 618 AD), a man by the
name of Sun Simiao (孫思邈) established himself as an incredibly
significant father-figure of Chinese Medicine - comparably so
to the famous Greek physician, Hippocrates. In a time when the
average life expectancy in China during this period was between
50 and 60 years, Sun Simiao, whose core beliefs were
concentrated on investigating the art of nourishing health (太一神
精丹 Taiyi Shenjing Dan), famously lived to the age of 102 and is
thought to be the most long-lived physician of Chinese medical
history.

YIN YANG &
THE LAWS OF
BALANCE
As we mentioned previously, one of the
primary focuses in TCM is the concept of
balance. Yin-Yang represents the
constant interplay of polarities in the
universe - light/dark, day/night,
masculine/feminine, heat/cold, etc. An
important concept to grasp here is that
these are not simply opposites, rather
they are the representation of the
absence of one another.
For example, darkness is not the
opposite of light, but is the absence of
light. As the light increases, so the
darkness diminishes and the seemingly
opposite characteristics complement
each other.
This is key to the diagnosis and
treatment of imbalance in the body’s
energy system, and a crucial
understanding to the unity of duality and
perfect balance (equilibrium).

The goal, then, is to attempt to
rebalance and maintain equilibrium
(homeostasis) within the body by
promoting coherence of the energy
system of the human body.

Understanding balance and the role Yin &
Yang play is key to understanding how to
apply simple TCM to your health practice. In
addition to this foundation, the principle of
working with the natural cycles of constant
movement and laws of nature is essential.
As we briefly laid out in the Introduction
to Chinese Medicine section, the human
body is not isolated from the environment
and laws of nature - as above, so below, as
within, so without.
Understanding that life itself is movement
in a constant state of change -
feedforward-feedback - and observing
the cycles of our world, we can begin
to work with these laws to embrace the
law of impermanence. As we experience
the seasons and cycles of our planet, we
also experience the stages and cycles of
childhood, young adulthood and so on, as
well as the cycles throughout a single day
and the countless cycles and processes
happening every second in the body.

Another fundamental tool for creating and maintaining

balance within the body is what is known as the Eight

As we have established, the Chinese understood that
maintaining balance was key to nourishing and
optimizing health. But what exactly are we balancing?
The energy referred to as Qi is simply ‘universal
energy' - the energy that gives life and function to all
living things. To many, this can be labeled as
'unscientific,' but as Chinese physician Dr. Yang
Jwing-Ming brilliantly explains: if we look at the
etymology of the word Qi from the Chinese
characters, we can begin to marry the correlation
between this ancient, experiential science and
modern science:
The character for Qi is made up of - Air 气 and Rice 米.
This simple representation illustrates and denotes that
without air and food the human body has no Qi, and
therefore no life-force.

This equation of the combustion of glucose and oxygen
to produce energy is an equivalent representation of the
Chinese character for Qi, where Air is the 6O2 and Rice is
Glucose, demonstrating the body’s metabolism - the
biochemical reaction within the body to produce vital
energy. This energy can be released as heat, light,
bioelectricity, and so on - all of which is Qi. Simply put,
this represents the process and importance of how the
food we eat and the air we breath produces the Qi in the
body. The exact same mechanism is carried out within
all living organisms.

A ND HO W C A N W E M O D U L AT E I T ?
The concept of Qi has perplexed
westerners ever since the first explorers
witnessed the practice of Chinese
Medicine. They observed surgeries of all
kinds being carried out on patients without
any anaesthetic, just a few needles placed
in certain locations - sometimes even just
one needle. How is this possible?
Many believe that the Qi circulatory
system (meridians) is equivalent to the
nervous system. This is incorrect; however,
Qi supports the function of the nervous
system and every other function of the
body - endocrine system, lymphatic
system, digestive system, blood circulatory
system etc. All of these functions carry out
essential processes for life and provide
the body with nutrients and minerals, but
they all rely on the energy to do so - Qi.
By altering the energy flow in a meridian,
it is possible to ‘switch on’ and ‘switch off’
cellular behavior. When energy in the body
stagnates (what we call pain and
disease), the same practices can clear
and provide free-flowing energy to
promote healing and repair.
As science progresses and the unification
of western and eastern medicine becomes
ever-clearer, more and more connections
can be made. The most accurate
description of Qi and the role it plays within
living organisms from a scientific
perspective, is Qi = bioelectromagnetic
energy. Therefore, meridians are the
bioelectromagnetic energy circuit of the
body.
The key to understanding this is to take a
closer look at one of the most important
components of the physical body -
connective tissue. Connective tissue is
tissue that connects and supports the
entire musculoskeletal structure and
internal organs. While there are different
types of connective tissue, the component
we are referring to here is fascia. Every
aspect of the body is connected by this
universal sheath to the extent that some
say there are not 600 muscles in the body,
rather one muscle (fascia) and 600 fascial
‘pockets’. Whether this is an accurate
statement or not, this demonstrates the
dynamic structure of the connected body
and thus is the principle laid out by
Buckminster Fuller called tensegrity.
In the same way that space is what
connects everything and defines
matter in physics - connective tissue
is the integral component that
connects everything to everything
else in anatomy.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF QI WITHIN
THE BODY AND HOW CAN WE
MODULATE IT?
The tensegrity of fascia is becoming more
and more accepted as the connecting
component to the ancient concept of Qi in
Chinese medicine and the
bioelectromagnetism in western science.
The human body is an electromagnetic
anatomy and the tensegrity of this fascial
connective tissue provides a scientific
explanation of how this bioelectromagnetic
current is circulated. Fascia is only made
up of roughly 20% cells. The other 80%
is constructed of what is known as the
extracellular matrix - a complex network of
proteins (mostly collagen) that helps bind
and structure cells into tissues and also
informs cells to grow, divide and produce
different molecules. This is regulated by
cells called fibroblasts, which help to
synthesize the extracellular matrix and play
a key role in the process of healing. These
intelligent cells are piezoelectric and will
react to produce energy (ATP) and
bioelectricity when the tissue is stretched,
compressed or damaged, signaling the
body to release the necessary cellular
activity to respond and begin the healing
process. In cases where disease arises, this
cellular response either triggered
insufficiently or is actually responding
excessively. For example, chronic
inflammation would be referred to as
deficiency (yin) or excess (yang)
conditions according to TCM.
However, the same response can be
created with meridian-focused therapy,
like acupuncture and acupressure, as
the fibroblasts react to the stimuli of the
treatment, promoting the healing response.

The connective tissue of the human
body also acts as both a conductor and
insulator of bioelectrical energy, providing
a perfectly connected circuit of energy
throughout the body. This is the reason
why the stimulation of a certain acupoint
at a distal location, for example the hand
or foot, can have an effect on a seemingly
dislocated area and symptom - like a
headache or migraine.
Without expanding too much further
on each meridian, their organ functions
and the behavior of Qi in great detail, as is
not the purpose of this eBook, the
meridians are displayed in the diagrams
on the next page. Specific point locations
for the ARK® crystal application are
presented in section Acupoints and

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF QI WITHIN
THE BODY AND HOW CAN WE
MODULATE IT?
For those who are interested in the
relationship between acutherapy,
meridians and fascial planes of the body,
a highly suggested read is Tom Myers’
Anatomy Trains .
The book, The Body Electric by Robert
Becker, discusses experiments that
measured electrical properties along the
skin’s surface. Becker concludes that the
acupuncture charts developed thousands
of years ago are accurate, revealing higher
measurements of bioelectricity at the
body’s cavities. The cavities found to be
laid out as the Chinese had in the meridian
charts as acupoints, are highly electrically
conductive tissue surrounded by low-
conductive tissue, creating a perfectly
receptive area for transmission of energy.
When the ARK crystal, pressure or needle is
placed upon these cavities, it can stimulate
the Qi current, balance and nourish energy.
Experiments and findings such as these,
demonstrate further the validity of
meridian-focused therapy and prove its
objective basis in reality.
More connections between TCM and
modern science can be shown through
the evidence of biophotons and the
electromagnetic field emitted from the
human body. Neither of these are distinctly
new phenomena, but both further serve to
strengthen the integrative bond of unified
medicine.
Electromagnetic fields and photon
emission are not unique characteristics
in humans, even crystals can display these
properties. Electromagnetic fields and
photon emission can be referred to in TCM
as Wei Qi 卫气, or Guardian/Protective Qi.
This is strongly associated with an
individual’s health, specifically their
immune system function, as the stronger

What is coherence? Coherence is the infinite process of how
energy communicates with itself to maintain equilibrium of
the whole - a feedback-feedforward loop of information -
Tao.

The ancient meridian map of Qi and bioelectromagnetic

circuits throughout the body provide the perfect blueprint
for working with the ARK crystal to balance the energy
systems, while creating and experiencing coherence. The
selection and combinations of acupoints have been chosen
specifically for both the ease of application with the
technology and the efficacy of commonly used acupoints
for promoting healthy Qi flow.

FINDING
ACUPOINTS /
QI-POINTS
Acupoints often feel tender to the touch, and it is this tenderness that
tells you when you have found the right place. To feel this sensation,
find the acupoints near the beginning of the Bladder Meridian known
as Bladder 2 (BL2 攢竹), which are located on the innermost edges of
the eyebrows. Using the middle fingers of both hands, press firmly on
the inside tip of your eyebrows. Make small, circular movements until
you feel a slight indentation and a tender sensation different from
the sensations from pressing around the point.

Once located, place the crystal on or above the points with the
triangular markings, or one of the "faces," perpendicular to the point.
Breathe in deeply and exhale while applying the crystal. These BL2
points are very effective in treating sore eyes and headaches at the
front of the head.

deeply with your middle fingers for about one minute.

pole" or the more focused area of the coherent field.

The evolutive dynamics of the diffused/balanced

orientation would be ideal for promoting general
regulation of the meridian, whereas the more direct,
evolutive dynamic effects of the focused orientation
would be ideal for a stronger stimulation of Qi in the
current. Both of which will assist the body in establishing
coherence in the meridian system, while the focused
orientation more directly penetrates the acupoint.
It is recommended to experiment with both
orientations.

When using the crystal on the body, try to hold the

crystal by the titanium saddle to prevent dampening
of the resonance technology. Be sure to support the
crystals. If resting on the skin, allow for some soft
support like a mattress or pillow, in case the crystal
falls from the point location.

ACUPOINTS
FOR MANUAL
APPLICATION
This section provides a brief introduction to specific
acupoints around the body that can be used with your ARK
crystal. There are single points and also combinations for a
stronger influence of Qi flow for those who own multiple ARK
crystals.
Pericardium 8 - Laogong / Labors Palace
Located at the center of the palm between the 2nd and 3rd
metacarpal bones. When a fist is made, the point is where
the tip of the middle finger touches.
The pericardium is not a recognized ‘organ’ in western medicine,
but in TCM this organ system plays an important role as the
"heart protector." Its main functions are to clear heat in the heart
and sedate and calm the mind. Any significant shift in one’s
emotions, such as trauma, has an impact on this protective shield
around the heart. This correlates to the occasional nauseous
feeling and palpitations during heightened emotional states and
why a number of the Pericardium acupoints (P6, P7, P8) are used
to help with these conditions.
An introduction to experiencing the field of your ARK crystal and
influencing the circulating bioelectric current from the heart is to
place the crystal on Pericardium 8, with the arrows facing
upwards, and gently rotate it until you feel a slightly anchored
sensation. Then, hold your other hand mirroring the opposite
Pericardium 8 point, about 3-5 inches above the crystal and tune
in to feel the circuit complete. Observe the crystal’s interaction
with the bioelectric circulation along the arms, through the heart,
back through the crystal - amplifying the current, establishing
coherence, balancing the meridians and directly influencing the
heart, calming the mind and emotions.

This acupoint is the bioelectric connecting point utilized during Large Intestine 4 - Hegu / Joining Valley
activations throughout the Resonance Science Foundation’s Delegate
Gatherings around the world. As the crystal is the tool used to create
system coherence, the collective energy of the combined oscillating
bio-crystals (the human body) during these group activations, act like
one single, amplified ARK crystal resonating with the zero-point field
and “lighting up the grid” - like Earth-Acupuncture.
Not to be used during pregnancy

Located between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones (between the
thumb and index finger) at the center of the 2nd metacarpal bone.

This is an extremely powerful point, known as the Command Point of

the head and face and for all pain in the body. Indications of this
point include headaches, toothache in the lower jaw, dizziness,
congestion, swelling of the face, facial paralysis.

Use the crystal by holding the arrows pointing at Large Intestine 4 and
observe your experience as the energy emitted penetrates the
meridian at this powerful point.

Liver 3 - Tai Chong / Great Surge
Liver 3 is between the big toe and second toe, in the depression
just before the two metatarsal bones meet.
In TCM the Liver is known as the
commanding general of the body and
it is the main organ of detoxification,
smooth Qi flow, and blood. When the
liver is healthy, the flow of Qi and blood
are normal, the emotional state will be
balanced and content and the body
can eliminate toxins naturally to
ensure a healthy, pain-free system.
Liver 3 is an essential point for clearing
all kinds of stagnation in the body.
Place the crystal on this point to
clear stagnation in the system, help
digestive issues, assist conditions of
eyes, genital pain, headache and
irritability.
The Four Gates - Large Intestine 4 & Liver 3
If you have four ARK crystals, combine Liver 3 and Large Intestine
4, known as the Four Gates, to strongly move Qi and blood in the
body to remove stagnation. These points are so called because
of their ability to open all the meridians allowing for a free-flow of
Qi and blood, removing physical and emotional stagnation.
Stomach 36 - Zusanli / Leg Three Miles
Located on the front (anterior) lower leg, below the lateral head of
the tibia (shin bone) approximately four finger-widths below the
lower, lateral knee-eye (small depression below the knee-cap). If
you slide your finger up the outside of your shin bone, this point is
located just before the head of the tibia begins to flare outwards,
approximately 1-2 finger-widths from the front of the shin bone
towards the outside of the leg.
Stomach 36 is the commanding point of the abdomen,
harmonizing and strengthening the Spleen and Stomach,
it tonifies Qi and blood and promotes general wellness.
This is another powerful acupoint used for a majority of health
conditions, preventing diseases and enhancing wellness. It is a
primary point for boosting Qi in and around the body.

Yintang Ren 4 - Guan Yuan / Gate of Origin

Yintang is considered an ‘extra point’ as it is found along the
Governing Vessel (Du Meridian) but not considered part of it. It is
important to note that this point is often referred to as the
‘Third Eye’ and also the ‘Upper Dan Tian’ in QiGong practices. It’s
frequently used in clinical practice to treat insomnia, anxiety,
frontal headaches and nasal congestion. Place your crystal at
this point whilst laying down to experience the benefits.
Another useful point for abdominal complaints including, and
especially, menstrual discomfort, infertility, urination problems,
etc. is Ren 4. Located approximately four finger-widths below the
umbilicus, this point is the anterior influence point for the small
intestine and is also an influential point for the three yin
meridians of the foot - Spleen, Kidney & Liver.

Ren 12 - Zhongwan / Middle Cavity

This point is at the same location as what many refer to as the
"solar plexus chakra," and is a powerful influence point for the
abdomen and digestion. Located at the midpoint between the
lowest border of the sternum and the umbilicus.

This is an extremely effective point for all kinds of digestive

complaints - bloating, indigestion, heartburn, diarrhea,
constipation, etc. This point is often used during ARK crystal
Activations for its direct influence on the central channel and
internal organs.

integrate the ARK crystal technology with the acupoints and
