Looking for a Wife

Fred is 32 years old and he is still single.

One day a friend asked, “Why aren’t you married? Can’t you find a woman who will be a good
wife?”

Fred replied, “Actually, I’ve found many women that I have wanted to marry, but when I bring
them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn’t like them.”

His friend thinks for a moment and says, “I’ve got the perfect solution, just find a girl who’s just
like your mother.”

A few months later they meet again and his friend says, “Did you find the perfect girl? Did your
mother like her?”

With a frown on his face, Fred answers, “Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my
mother. You were right, my mother liked her very much.”

The friend said, “Then what’s the problem?”

Fred replied, “My father doesn’t like her.”

Analysis :

From the text the funniest sentence that make me laugh is the red sentence, because it
means that his father didn’t want to choose the girl for his son was like her wife. I have shared
this story to my friends, for some people they said that this story was funny but for some people
also said that this story was not funny for them because they said that the story has a short
paragraph and the plot of this story was not interested.

Spoof text has generic structure :

  Orientation (introduction of the participant of the story, where it happen and when. By
giving the orientation, reader will recognize the story)
 Events (tells about the chronological of the story. Several events are explored in
chronological way which able to arrange the story read nicely.)
 Twist (an unpredictable plot in the end of the story which amuses the reader. Readers
even did not predict before that it would be)
