TESTING PROCESS

1. Perform the following final checks before filling:


1) Close the valves for drain and outlet.
2) Let the exterior accessories of the water tank free from any drop of water.
3) The water tightness test should be done while there is a sunlight and fully filling up the
water tank to check
4) If the water tank is installed in the basement or inside of the building, enough lighting is
required to check

2. The water should be filled up to 250 ~300mm lower than the roof panel.

3. All tanks and each compartment where tanks are sub-divided shall be filled with clean water
after erection and left standing under test for a period of not less than twenty four (24) hours,
during which time, all joints shall be inspected and no loss/leakage of water shall occur.

4. Each side of a compartmented tank shall be tested separately with the other compartment
empty of water, to ensure the integrity of the dividing full height partition.

5. Closely check nozzle, panel, bottom and corner parts.

6. In the event that a leak occurs, the tank shall be drained, the leak repaired to the satisfaction of
the client’s representative, ENGINEER or other consultant as appropriate, and the test procedure
repeated.
