DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES OPERATION HANDLING PORTABLE COMBUSTION TYPE PREHEATING HEATER + This combustion type preheating heater is a starting aid to preheat the engine cooling water. ttis used when the ambient temperature is below -20°C (-4°F) and itis difficult to start the engine. For fuel, use the diesel oil used for running the engine; for the power source, use the battery (DC24V) mounted ‘on the machine, + For this machine, use 2 portable combustion type preheating heaters [approx. 30 kg (66 Ib}]. + When using this combustion type heater to start the engine, connect to the engine and combustion type heater with the power source cable, fuel hose, and cooling water hose, then warm up the engine cooling water. NOTICE When starting the engine after preheating the engine cooling water, always stop the preheating operation before attempting to start the engine, and disconnect the power source cable, fuel hose, and cooling water hose from the engine and combustion type heater, Ifthe engine is started with the cable and hoses stil installed to the combustion type preheating heater, the heater will be damaged. REMARK This combustion type preheating heater differs from the electric heater used to maintain the heat. Itis used to carry out heating for a short time. It cannot use an external power source, and is used when the machine is not operated every day. OPERATION DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES + This combustion type preheating heater consists of a connected system of the following parts: combustion type preheating heater body, power source cable, fuel hose, fuel supply openiclose lever, cooling water hose, and cooling water supply openiclose valve. ae % | | |o| eeerereerarerTe eeeeeeetOUy (1) Combustion type preheating heater (8) Water pump (DC24V, 5.5A, 4500 kcalih) (9) Fuel injection pump (2) Connection port (10) Fuel supply openiclose valve (8) Power source cable (11) Cooling water supply open/close valve (4) Fuel hose (12) Radiator (8) Cooling water hose (13) Fuel tank (6) Engine (14) Battery (7) Starting motor terminal B DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES OPERATION Name Of Parts i suns (1) Combustion type preheating heater proper (3) Connection port (fuel, cooling water) (2) Connection port (power source) OPERATION DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES Combustion Type Preheating Heater O (1) Combustion type preheating heater body (4) Control panel (5) Power source input receptacle Connection Port Portion (6) Cooling water supply plug (7) Cooling water reception plug (8) Fuel reception plug (2) Connection port (power source) (3) Connection port (fuel, cooling water) (9) Power source output receptacle (10) Power source input receptacle {for external power source) (11) Fuel supply openiclose lever (12) Cooling water reception openiclose vaive (13) Cooling water supply open/close valve sunisena (14) Fuel supply plug (15) Cooling water reception plug (16) Cooling water supply plug (17) Powor source cable (18) Fuel hose (19) Cooling water hose (20) Cooling water hose DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES OPERATION Inside Engine Room (21) Cooling water supply openiclose valve (22) Cooling water reception openiciose valve OPERATION DETAILED CONTROLS AND GAUGES Explanation Of Components Heater body (1) Thisis a preheating device to make it easier to start awater-cooled diesel engine in ambient temperatures below -20°C (-4°F).
