Subject: Participation on RWSS Scheme for Putalibazar Municipality

Respected Mam,

RWSSP-WN has been conducting and operating different water related projects in more than 10
districts of western Nepal. We are glad to know that the ongoing and completed projects that have been
organized are actually aid to locals of the respective places.

We are 4th year students from Civil Engineering Department, Western Region Campus,
Lamachaur. We are planning to have a final year project design based on ‘Rural Water Supply’ which is
quite similar to the theme of your organization. RWSSP-WN is planning to construct a water supply system
for Putalibazar Municipality, Ward No. Syangja in association with the Municipality. We would like to
participate on this project and prepare all the details about the project.

The lists of works that we would like to participate with their importance are here as:

1. Assess existing situation of water supply and sanitation in the project area to know the public
need and interest for the WSS.
2. Assess existing water supply structures for the rehabilitation of existing system.
3. Carry out detailed engineering and socio-economic survey with environmental parameters.
4. Verify source yield, water quantity, reservoir site if needed and pipe alignment.
5. Assess the number and location of public stand posts and other main structures.
6. Design the system and alternatives with their detailed drawings.
7. Estimate the cost for economic and financial analysis of the project.
8. Prepare report on the results of project after the completion of technical works.
