Access List Configuration.

- Add two loopback interfaces, 0 & 1 to R3
- Add two loopback interfaces, 0 & 1 to R2.
- From R3, test ping and telnet connectivity to the loopback interfaces 0 & 1 to R2.
- Use extended ping with the loopback interfaces as the source to make sure you can ping
and telnet to all addresses on R2 from all address on R3.

Use the ip telnet source command for testing.

- Create a named access-list that denies telnet and ping from loopback 0 on R3 to
loopback 0 on R2.

- Also deny telnet and ping from loopback 1 on R3 to loopback 1 on R2. You should
always be able to telnet and ping to the serial interface on R2 from any source.
Hint: An access-list configured on a router will not be applied to traffic originating on that
router or an interface of that router.

Access List Testing.

Test each configured access list to ensure that the appropriate traffic is blocked, while other traffic
is permitted. Document your testing in the table below. A sample has been provided.

Configure ALL routers. Include MOTD banner and IP

Ping router interface from router. Ping an interface IP

address on any router from any other router.

Traceroute. Traceroute between the routers.

Access List functionality. Access lists have been

configured and tested. Access lists block target traffic while
allowing all other traffic.

Telnet to all routers by router host name. Telnet from

one router to each of the other routers using their host
name and be able to show all telnet sessions to other
routers simultaneously.

Show routing table. Show the routing table entries for

each router to see other neighboring router interfaces are
present.
