This simple sketch really makes one reflect upon the fact of how we take our innumerable blessings

for granted. This picture portrays a man who is whole and healthy but perhaps poor and has
therefore taken to beggary whilst another man who has no arms is sweating away as a coolie to earn
his own living. The man without arms could have easily taken to begging as well and would have
perhaps attracted more pity but he chose to work instead. In this picture, the differently abled man
can be seen at a higher pedestal than the man who is looking up to him as he lifts his begging bowl.
