Naragsak a Paskua kadatayo amin nga umili,

nangruna kadagiti padak nga Ina, nga isu

agit-ited ranyag kadagiti pamilya tayo. This
year, our theme for Christmas is “Love
Shines in Naguilian.” Indeed, the word
“love” has quite a few meanings, but
everyone will definitely agree with me when
I say that there is no other greater love than a
mother’s love for her family. More so, there
is no better place to celebrate love, than here
in the Home of the Original Basi, our own
hometown, Naguilian.

Tonight we are going to witness the crowning

of our “Ina ng Pasko 2019,” a woman who
shall embody the strength and heroism of our
Naguilianon mothers. Our Ina ng Pasko is not
just a mere title, but more importantly, it is an
honor and responsibility, for she will become
a role model and a spokesperson at the same
time. May she use this platform to inspire and
empower mothers of this town to continue
giving their all for the love of their family.

I would also like to take this moment to invite

all of you to visit our Paskuhan Village at our
New Transport Terminal with your family to
see beautiful lanterns, Christmas trees and
our very own “1,000 Rosal,” our municipal
flower. On Saturday, December 21st, our
Panagyaman celebration shall be held at the
same venue, which shall serve as a
thanksgiving celebration of the Municipal
Government for all the blessings and
achievements that Naguilian has received
from above.

Merry Christmas to everyone and let the

spirit of love fill our hearts and homes. “Love
Shines in Naguilian.”
