To,

Hon’ble (Mr.) Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai,

Supreme Court of India,
New Delhi.

Subject: Application for Internship - 1st Oct to 15th Oct 2019.

Respected Sir,
I am Ayush Singh, a 5th year law student from National Law School of India
University, Bengaluru and am very keen to intern at your chambers from 1st Oct for a
period of 2 weeks.

My desire to pursue law arose from the realization that no other course could possibly
give me this level of exposure to the society of which I claimed to be a part. I have
maintained this outlook throughout law school and have tried my best to be involved
in varied activities and areas of research. Constant interaction with different people
has contributed in enhancing my understanding of their perceptions of issues in
society. With all this in my mind, I have researched in various areas of law during my
internships, research works and international/national moot court competitions.

I wish to be your intern because I want to expose myself to cutting edge issues facing
the judiciary, and working with you gives me a platform to engage in such
discussions. You are a prestigious person in the field of law and this has motivated me
to apply.

Furthermore, I understand that the period of internship is very short. However, I only
have the month of October as a break from college. And due to the clashing dates of
my moot in Miami (U.S.) and visa appointments, I am rendered incapable of
continuing the internship beyond the above-mentioned period. Therefore, in order to
prepare myself for a future judicial clerkship, this internship is extremely important
for me.

I hope you understand my situation and give me an opportunity to intern at your

chamber. I am attaching my resume for your kind perusal.

Warm Regards,
Ayush Singh,
