According to (PACT "Making Good Choices", 2006) Academic language refers to the
discipline-specific vocabulary. This vocabulary is used frequently by effective educators
when introducing fresh material and throughout the learning time. It is what learners will
see in evaluations and textbooks, but it is also the vocabulary that they are likely to see
and hear in college and career.
(ALA,2000) stated that Information literacy is a set of skills that requires individuals to
recognize when information is needed and be able to assess, locate and use data
efficiently. A person learns how to evaluate the credibility and validity of sources, and
give proper credit.
