AMERICA AS A SUPERPOWER 2

The United States has been known to be the superpower, during the crises time and after

the global equilibrium was in effect. It has caused the United States eventually to spread, grow

and also prosper since 1815. The cold war has held a notable global position and has disrupted

the widespread peace with the unprecedented force and even caused an unusual dominance,

which has made the United States an empire or hegemony. America became the superpower

during the Cold War, which is described as a long term tension existing in between the United

States along with the Soviet Union, often war against the communism due to which the World

War II happened. With the Cold War, it has also expanded with the regional 'hot wars,' which

resulted in series of other wars, and the cold war was described as a period of the threats, tension,

and competition but it was purely not physical combat. During 1950-1990, America came out to

be the superpower due to the series of the acts such as the South Africa the Group Areas Act

which have resulted in the Apartheid along with the formation of the NATO which has impacted

the American economy. Additionally, during the post cold war period (1991-2019), US leads the

World by making suitable foreign policies and increased their diplomatic presence and aids

worldwide (G. H. W. Bush.1991). America has established itself since 1950, and there has been

an international policing role along with the essential strategy building, that has resulted in the

approach to be ineffective and counterproductive

In the post period of the Cold war (1991-2019), there had been emerging issues of the

communist wars against the various regions, such as North Korea conflicting and invading the

South Korea similarly, the Vietnam War, which there was the communist emergence (J. F.

Dulles, 1954). The United States, not only intervened but also enacted with the powers, by firstly

threatening the forces and then bombing the necessary regions, to ceasefire. Further, the treaties

and the cease-fire agreement was made under the guidance of the United states enactment (S. M.

Tarzi. 2014). In another example, United States has emerged to be the superpower by creating

the first hydrogen bomb and they have applied the various prices such as the equal opportunity

and the equal racial equality, which has helped the United States to establish itself as a

superpower (C. Powell. 2003).

In another example, during the Cold war period, as the United States was coming from

the immense social problems and had a colossal debt that had to proceed the two rich countries

which are the Japan and Germany (S. Chace, 2015). Eventually, the United States should have

also asserted the international political along with economic control (Kevin, 2018). It had even

created “an international liberal economic regime” along with outlining of the capitalistic order.

With the stringent U.S. policymakers that have focused on materializing with the required

control and impact on the international trade processes, it was important for the United States to

secure financial aid. The superpower had a more ambitious project, which had resulted in

controlling and transforming concerning international relations. With the Bill Clinton approach,

the country was known to be a superpower in terms full-proof military force that has also

invested highly in the military resources along with stepping up to secure development and even

sending its troops in the various geographical regions such as Europe and Asia (C. Paul. 2008).

America, over the period, is known to be constantly intervening and even tried to control

major economies of the world. Even for the underdeveloped countries such as Korea, Vietnam,

Afghanistan, America has further participated in fuelling the fire and even ceasing it with the

peace treaty (M. Klare. 2002).

But, American being a superpower also had a consequence of showing itself as a

"fatherly role', the country not only steps up to resolve the conflict but also tries to protect the

economic interest of the other countries (R. Reagan, 1983). In one of the example, when the

United States have sparked the conflict with the Middle East, it was known fact the United is

securing itself with the oil power and even derive the oil fields in the region
