RAJENDER DA DHABA

Not a lot of places in Delhi provide you with a rich flavour and an amalgamation of Lucknow
and Hyderabad. Have you tried a place in Delhi where the shawarmas and the momos are
as delicious as the kebabs and butter chicken? Have you ever visited a place where the
place started off as a small Dhaba in 1900’s and has taken over the entire shopping mall
centre with over 10 outlets? The vibe of this restaurant depends on your mood. Have come
with your grandparents to enjoy the old flavours of Old Delhi? They have a dine in place just
for you. Heading out for quick munchies before going to a club? The scooter dummies
outside the restaurant are the right go to with orders coming as quick as 2 minutes! Have
gotten your friends back from the States? The whiskey in the car and an
“RDX Boy” on your service bringing in grilled meat and chicken in your car. Well, there is
nothing on the menu which isn’t enriching. I personally love enticing my Instagram followers
thus the pictures say it all, nevertheless, here are my top 3 favourites:

Whenever somebody has asked me for a great place to try out the real Indian kebabs and
curries the first instinctive name that comes in my mind is definitely Rajender Da Dhaba. While
talking to the owners of the place I realised how important the quality of the food and the
quickness in delivery makes this one of a kind gastronomic experience. Be it from the
extensive menu to the readiness in the orders, this little Dhaba now an entire market of its
own is hard to miss. The uniqueness is the mixture of its Galauti Kebabs and Mughlai
Paranthas, with a plate of appetizers with spicy Tawa chicken and ending the dinner with the
Mutton Biryani and Chicken Curry with a Lachha Parantha. Also, the Chicken Burrah and the
Afghani Chicken are hard to miss as well.

PS- The proximity to Central Delhi is amazing and well we cannot miss the unlimited refills of
Chicken and Mutton Curry! Not to miss we have the RDX VIP section now!

The Dhaba is a must whenever you come to Delhi. People mingle in the car parking enjoying
the epicurean experience. That’s what makes Delhi, Delhi. The food, the vibe, the aura and
the simplicity with our food habits. We don’t mind sitting at the back of our cars, in front of
the primary market building, eating tandoori dishes out of silver plastic plates, slurping sodas,
and sneaking beers from the neighbouring thekas and ending the dinner with best Rabdi
Kulfi and the Bengal Sweet Corner situated right there! Try out the place on the weekend
and you’ll visit it time and again. In the end, nobody minds the tag of a “Gourmet”.
