DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT, INCLUDING IMPLEMENTATION, STUDENT OBJECTIVES, TIMELINES, AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITES IN CARRYING OUT THE PROJECT: (To supplement two movie reflections already included in the course, a third reflection discussion will be performed in mid November. Additionally, one of the five quizzes administered will assess retention of content from the podcast. A survey will bbe administered before and after the assignment assessing podcast use. The time 2 survey will include open-answer uestions about the experience and possible improvements to the assignment. | will be responsible for finding a relevant podcast episode, as well as administering the quiz and surveys. | MENTOR’S ROLE IN THE PROJECT, INCLUDING PLANNED MEETINGS AND PROJECT ASSESSMEN iThe mentor wil be responsible for overseeing the project, which will include approving the content of the podcast episode, co- mediating the reflective discussion in class (the class is co-taught), and aiding the analysis of the quiz scores and survey esponses. METHODS OF ASSESSMENT: | 'Score on the quiz will be compared to other quiz scores to assess content retention and engagement. Engagement will also bbe observed during the discussion, and compared to engagement levels during the movie reflections earlier in the semester. Finally, the second survey will be compared to the first survey to assess changes in podcasts use (with special interest in fhanges in use of informational or sport sociology podcasts).
