Building  Castle  Walls  

 

 
Introduction  –  Formidable  Castle  
This  is  an  exercise  in  aligning  objects,  both  horizontally  and  vertically.      This  exercise  is  good  for  
practicing  or  testing  your  ability  to  add  and  manipulate  objects  as  well  as  the  use  of  different  
camera  views  to  help  align  objects.  
 
You  may  want  to  reference  the  lesson  The  Alice  Scene  Editor  or  the  Scene  Editor  How  to  
resources.    These  materials  can  be  downloaded  and  printed  for  offline  use  from  Alice.org  
 
Don’t  forget  to  save  your  projects  frequently  

Castle  Requirements  
 
Start  Alice  and  select  the  Grass  template.    Build  a  castle  wall,  using  at  least  8  objects  in  the  gate  
section  of  the  Fantasy  theme  of  the  Browse  Gallery  by  Theme  tab  in  the  Gallery.  Be  sure  to  
include  a  castle  tower  using  the  base,  middle,  and  top  sections  of  the  tower.  Also  include  a  
castle  gate,  with  at  least  one  of  the  doors  open.
