PVT STUDY OF RESERVOIR FLUID
WELL 3/9a-N3
ouquil @*
ee
August 1987Presented in this report are the results of the PVT study that was carried out on the fluid of
well 3/9a-N3 (D.P. n° 30T 001 915)
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS.
Two sets of separator ojl and gas samples were received in the laboratory, one of
which was recombined to perform a complete PVT study, including Pressure-Volume
relation, differential vaporisation, single stage and two stage separations and viscosity
measurements. The recombined reservoir fluid exhibited a saturation pressure of 257.5 bar(g)
(3734 psig), the reservoir pressure being 445.0 bar(g) (6453 psig).
‘LSEPARATOR SAMPLES
‘The samples were checked upon arrival ‘
The two separator oil samples measured saturation pressures are close to the reported
separator pressure.
The separator oil (bottle Nb 1116-36) was flashed to atmospherje pyessure and 15 °C
(59 °F) in an equilibrium separator. The measured G.OR. is 36.7 Sm°/m> (206 SCF/STB).
The analysis of the liberated gas was performed by gas chromatography. On the residual
liquid, hydrocarbon analysis up to Cy was performed by gas chromatography and a
distillation was carried out to collect the C),* fraction, its molecular weight and density at
15°C are reported in Table V.
“The separator gas was analysed by gas chromatography.
2 RESERVOIR FLUID
3, The reservoir fluid was physically recombined using a corrected G.O.R. of 145.2
Sm3/m*sep (815 SCF/bbI sep.)
A constant composition study at reservoir temperature, 111.0 °C (232 ‘F) was then
performed on the recombined fivid, which exhibited a saturation pressure of 257.5 bar(s)
(3734 psig),
A two stage separation in test conditions led to a G.O.R. of 196.3 Sm3/Sm> (1102
SCF/STB) and an oil formation volume factor at saturation pressure of 1.664.
During a differential vaporisatign at reservoir temperature, the reservoir fluid
liberated a total G.O.R, of 264.7 Sm?/Sm? (1486 SCF/STB).
The vi
was 0.269 .10
