Mechanical design & Simulation Engineer

Powertrain department

Tasks / responsibilities

 Responsible for the design, update, release of physical components


 Create 3D models and making the 2D drawing
 Manage bill of materials
 Perform functional studies and system specifications
 Perform concept / detailed drawings according to manufacturing constraints
 Perform tolerance stack up
 Support risk analysis
 Undertake technical reporting

Requirements / Candidate’s profile


Minimum educational

 Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Knowledge

 Mechanics design
 Drawing competence
 Requirement Management
 Analysis and simulation
 English language (B1 and above)

 Basic knowledge of ISO geometrical tolerance, chain of dimensions
 Components and assemblies manufacturing process basic knowledge

Ability

 To work with Computer Aided Design tools (i.e. Unigraphics NX, Catia V5 or Creo)
 To develop physical components for Automotive products
 To write specification and documentation of the components developed
 To be able to model and analyze multi-domain systems with AMESIM (or similar tool like
MATLAB/SIMULINK)

Additional Knowledge & Skills

 Components or mechanical systems development basic knowledge


 Experience in technical specifications definition of mechanical components for engines and/or
transmissions

Knowledge & Skills “nice to have”

 Design to manufacturing / design to cost experience

Personality traits

 Desire to work in a team in an international environment and share information/ideas


 Open-minded with a good capacity of relationship with other teammates
 Capability to work autonomously finding solutions even with lack of information
