4, Company Patent Technology

Our PTC type fluid explosion-proof electric heater is a new type electric heating products which is

developed from the basis of industrial developed country advanced manufacturing technology in the late

ninety’s. Key heating element tubular electric heating element, which has won the national invention

patent, is our original creation. Our products are widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power and

other industries of pipe heating & heating up &all kinds of liquid medium viscosity. These replaced the

traditional &backward steam heating &fuel heating & constant power heating methods, which belongs to

the upgrading of products, to fill the domestic blank and reached the international leading level. Our

products have significant characteristics: energy transfer rate is extremely high, very long service life, no

environmental pollution etc. These are very ideal modern electric heating products.

1）Significant energy saving

Using high resistance alloy as a heating element, thermal strain characteristics of its own resistance

can automatically adjust the heating power. Automatic tracking process design temperature so as to

dynamically adjust the heating power &avoid and eliminate over temperature error caused by the loss of

energy consumption, to achieve the effect of energy saving, with which traditional electric heater can't

compare.

The PTC type heating element can save 20% to 30% energy compared with the traditional ones.

2）Explosion-proof performance

Design strictly according to the indicators of explosion-proof standards GB3836-2010 which

promulgated by People's Republic of China. And obtained Explosion-Proof Certificate issued by the

national explosion-proof station, the product can work normally. These products can work in Ⅰ area&Ⅱ

area used for the dangerous sites with explosive gas. Explosion-proof grade: Exde Ⅱ CT4, protection

grade: IP56.

3）Application field

Our explosion-proof electric heater has a large number of used to heat a variety of media, such as:

hydrogen, nitrogen, steam, air, gas, carbon dioxide, C10, C4, crude oil, residual oil, heat conduction oil

and sea water, toluene, etc.. After many years of application, our company through the high quality

products, timely and thoughtful after-sales service has won numerous unanimous favorable comments

of users.

4）Design service life is long

Mainly depends on the following two factors:

A, Due to the alloy heat material has its own characteristics of thermal strain, effective stem over

temperature phenomenon of heating element. The surface overheating protection device, which

cooperate with the electrical control part, more effective restrict on the surface of the heating element

over temperature phenomenon. This is especially suitable for high power heater.

B, The surface heat load of the electric heating element is much smaller than the surface heat load of

domestic traditional electric heating element. Safe value is much higher than the National Permissible

Value. It mainly depends on the diameter of the heating wire and electric heat pipe diameter. The

surface heat load is smaller, the more difficult to produce coking on the surface, scaling phenomenon, so

as to prolong the service life of electric heater.

Domestic traditional electric heater design life generally about 5 years, our electric heater design life can

reach more than 20 years to ensure user invest one time but life-long benefit.

3、Technical Scheme
3.1、Working Principle of Fluid Type Electric Heater
Electric heater consists of outer shell vessel, electric heating pipe, control cabinet. The
media of initial temperature passes through the pipes under the pressure and according to
inner designed high efficient thermodynamic principle, absorbing a large amount of heat
dissipated from the electric heating elements, thus to gain media meeting the process
temperature at the electric heater outlet.

3.3、Description of Electric Element

The Company has equipment to process high precision tubular electric heating elements and
comprehensive detection methods, produced electric heating element is the unique product in our
country that has gain National explosion-proof certificate, and explosion-proof grade is ExeⅡ, license
No. is GYB13.1410U, receiving the National Technical Innovation Fund.
3.3.1、Electric heating pipe material of electric heater is made of Stainless Steel
S32168, through powder filling, powder vibrating, pipe compaction, pipe bending,
pipe diameter after compaction is φ16 mm
3.3.2、Internal heating material of the electric heating elements adopts high quality
high-temperature resistance high resistance alloy wire 80Ni-20Cr, this
kind of material as heating material can withstand high temperature above
900℃; high quality high resistance alloy wire;
3.3.3、The insulation material uses high purity crystalline magnesium oxide
powder
3.3.4、Sealing material of the electric heating elements uses high temperature
resistance secondary solidified insulation seal(epoxy resin material), to avoid decrease in
insulation, increase in leaked current and other insecurities occurred during long term work of
electric heating elements;
3.3.5、Heating conductor and extracting electrode adopt advanced flexible connection process, make
the heating conductor and extracting electrode effectively and reliably connected into integrity, to
effectively avoid invalid heating of electric heating element caused by disconnection of the
heating conductor off the extracting electrode;
3.3.6、The single cold insulation resistance of electric heating element is greater than 500MΩ， conducting
dielectric strength test 2000V/min, no breakdown, flicking phenomenon.

3.4、Confirmation of Power Density

Power density of heating element: namely the power on the unit heating area of heating element, it
is an extremely important parameter of the electric heating element, directly affecting the service
performance and life of the heater, its value is a very professional problem, which is influenced by many
factors (such as temperature, physical and chemical properties of the media, etc). If the value is greater,
it may result in overheat, when serious, it may rapidly cause damage to heating element; if the value is
smaller, then resulting in increase of volume and rapid increase of cost.
Combine to this project process requirement, it requires the no scaling and coking on the electric
heating element, we decided the reasonable power density.

3.5、Solution of Scaling and Coking on the Electric Heating Element Surface

The reasons caused scaling and coking: overtime medium heating, excess temperature on spot
heating, high carbon content on the heating element surface.
The solutions are as following:
1) Short the stay time of the medium in the vessel; increase flow rate and decrease the retention layer
of electric heating element and flowing medium, these will increase the heat transfer coefficient
between electric heating pipe medium, decrease the surface temperature and prolong the electric
service life.
2) Reasonable arrangement of the heater inner structure and each heating units uniformity and
symmetry
3) Adopt silicon controlled power adjustment to avoid the thermal fatigue of electric heating element
and prolong the service life
4) Adopt high quality and high temperature Magnesium Oxide powder to increase the insulation
strength
5) Adopts high precision electric heating element to ensure the safety and reliability of the heating
electric element life

3.6、Junction Box (Material：Q235-B)

The structure of junction box is detachable, which is convenient for electric heater wiring. Protection
level is IP56. Strictly comply with all indicator requirements specified by standard issued by People’s
Republic of China, certified by National authorized institute, and we gained the Explosion-proof
certificate, the product can normally work in II area explosive gas dangerous field, and meet the
Explosion-proof requirements.
The junction box is installed with electric sealing connection. Internal electric heating pipe in the
junction box of the electric heater uses high temperature wire to complete wiring, and led to wiring
terminals. There is sufficient cable wiring space in the explosion-proof junction box in order to facilitate

Pressure Vessel:
The pressure vessel shall be designed and manufactured by manufacturers with qualification of
pressure vessel production license, strictly comply with the GB150-2011Pressure vessel standard and
TSG R0004-2009 Stationary pressure vessel safety technical supervision procedures.

Electric heater inlet and outlet are equipped with companion flanges, drain outlet with blind flange,

fasteners, sealing gasket. After delivery of equipment, the seller shall submit corresponding data of

electric heater pressure vessel.

3.9、Baffles（Material：S32168）

The electric heater inside adopts reasonable baffle type and quantity to avoid the heating dead

angles of the conduction oil and increased the flow rate of the surface medium. In addition, during the

heating system operation, there will have some low-boiling material which most in bubble type in the

system; baffle optimization will help those material discharges. The baffle plate has the main function

to increase the thermal efficiency and prolong the conduction oil service life.

As mentioned in the Steel Tubular Heating Exchange, especially for the horizontal heater, if there is

bit of low-boiling material, there should have air outlet in the highest point of baffle plate which notch is

downward.
